The STARFLEET Marine Corps offers members with a different "flavor" of Trek fandom.  One need not be a member of the real military to join up, although many members gravitate toward a more military atmosphere.  Each shipboard chapter of the SFMC is called a Marine Strike Group, with the Officer in Charge (OIC) commanding the MSG.  The 875th MSG is located aboard the USS Mir.  Calling themselves the "Screamin' Weazels," their motto is "Death From the Ankles Up!"
